My First Day Back with Mom

I got into town yesterday and came straight from the airport to Mom's. Pauline picked me up. Mom's apartment looks like people have been busy helping her go through boxes and such.
Stacy had been helping all Mom going through her projects and boxes.
Mom looks quite similar to when I left. She does have new markings all over her legs and hip area from the radiation treatment. They are permanent and will never go away, so if she is ever in a swimming suit again.... look out!
Mom's appetite is definately back - she is eating great. She hasn't thrown up for over a week!

Mom got several cards yesterday and again today. She got teary when reading the Christmas letter from Esther. She said it was the first mention in a Christmas letter that referenced the passing of Grandpa and then Esther goes on to briefly mention Mom and her illness.

Mom and Paul and I met with Hospice earlier today. We spent the day in the apartment but now Mom has decided that she feels like going out. We are going to go to Pauline's for a family dinner - Rob is in town from Alaska for a couple more days.
