"My Story"

Mom had the opportunity to record her life story. She had done this with Grandpa Everett and it was soooo cool! We all enjoy having those cds and listening to him telling his own stories.
A woman at Mom's office set it up for Mom to have the same opportunity. The woman from "your story" came over yesterday. Mom lasted for 2 hours talking about her life. With the very first question, she started crying. "Where were you born?" For those of you who don't know, Mom has the coolest birth story - she was born on a kitchen table! Mom talked about her life and we got up to her first mission. We will set up at least one more recording session for her.

Did you know that Mom used to ride her unicycle in the middle of the night for telethons while square dancing with her friends!?!?!?

Mom said that she had wanted to have one recording session that was all about church. It just really is impossible to separate the two. Mom has given so much of her time and her talents to church. She would think of a story and somehow it would be connected to church. I love that about Mom - I'm so grateful that she has been rock solid her whole life - what an example to me!

Mom didn't eat much yesterday either. She was up in the evening for about an hour before going back to bed. She had a late night phone call that woke her up. She isn't sleeping well regardless of phone calls.

Louise called this morning and had a nice visit with Mom. Mom also got a package from Louise yesterday with a new Mormon Tabernacle Choir DVD that Raymond had picked out - so thoughtful. Thank you. Alice called yesterday and sent her love to Mom. It is so nice to know that she has loved ones, who are willing to come at a moment's notice to be with her and help.

Today, Mark and Amy and the little girls are coming for a visit and to finalize some legal documents for Mom. She is looking forward to their visit and resting now, so that she can be up while they are here.
Amy has also made arrangements to come for a few days over the weekend and beginning of next week to help Mom. And then Nancy will come up every day for a week to help. And then I will be back in town. I leave on Saturday, early in the morning to go home.

She appreciates so much everyone's love and prayers.

I am working on a scrapbook with your stories that you have been sending, etc. If you want to send me something to include - a funny story OR something of the like - please email me!

Also, we are finalizing her recipes. Uncle Wayne has offered to "publish" the cookbook - it really isn't a cookbook, as it is 98% DESSERTS! It is a sweetbook!

Mom's stomach is still quite sour - I bought her REAL Ginger Ale, cherry flavored. Whole Foods recommended it - she hated it!
