Mom stayed up late tonight

As I was flipping through the channels while Mom was getting ready to go to bed, Extreme Home Makeover was on. She turned around and decided to stay up and watch it. It is almost over and she is sitting in her chair with the quilt Louise gave her wrapped around her, wearing a nightgown from Pauline and slipper socks from Jeannie Juergens and a hat from Celia on her head. The family that was featured tonight was a large Tongan LDS family that lives in Logan Utah. Mom got teary more than once but especially when the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang their deseased father's favorite song "Love at Home". It was fun to watch this with her.
She is having a hard time hearing. I have to remember to be in the room with her close to her when I say something to her.
She also is having a hard time remembering things. She often mistakes one day for another, thinking that Sunday is Saturday. She also has completely lost her ability to do more than one thing at a time. Anyone who knows her knows that this has always been one of her many talents. This has been hard for me to see.
