Stage of Cancer

In case you were wondering the stage of cancer, Mom has been diagnosed with Stage Four. She didn't want me to put that in the last blog entry because she said she didn't want to overwhelm everyone.

Here is some more information from the website:
Although most lung cancers do not cause any symptoms until they have spread too far to be cured, symptoms do occur in some people with early lung cancer.
When lung cancer spreads to distant organs, it may cause:
bone pain
neurologic changes (such as headache, weakness or numbness of a limb, dizziness, or recent onset of a seizure)
jaundice (yellow coloring of the skin and eyes)
masses near the surface of the body, due to cancer spreading to the skin or to lymph nodes (collection of immune system cells) in the neck or above the collarbone
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women



Lyman is going to come this weekend for a quick visit and I'm grateful for that.
Also, the boys and I are going to do a small family dinner with mom on Monday night. Our entire family will be together except for my husband and two children.
I was originally planning on leaving Tuesday to go home but have extended my trip and will leave on Thursday.
