Radiology

We discussed mom's lung cancer diagnosis w/ the specialist today, asking questions and getting plenty of information in return. After our discussion of the options available, we decided the best thing to do is start radiation; therefore, the doctor was able to schedule an appointment immediately with the Radiation Oncologist.

The radiation dr. was able to prescribe some medication for mom that will help to temporarily relieve her current uncomfortable symptoms until the radiation treatment can take control. Radiation will be our first line of defense as it sounds like, from the experts, it will provide the greatest amount of comfort for mom. She will go through 15 radiation treatments over a 3 week period, starting tomorrow.

Mom appreciates the support many have provided in so many various ways; cards, flowers, emails, telephone and prayers. Thank you and keep checking the blog for more information.

    Hey girlfriend,
Sometimes these Dr. appointments are a little overwhelming, and they give you too much information to digest. Just let go, and know that you are being carried along on prayers and love. Thinking of you every day, and sending lots of love your way, too!!!
