Radiation Day Two

Mom had her second day of radiation. It seems like many of you are confused about the treatment. Mom's radiation treatment is treament for the tumors in her brain. She has multiple tumors in the brain. The doctors told us that when there is more than one tumor, they call it multiple. There are between 12-20 tumors. She has a treatment done on each side of the brain while wearing a mesh like helmet. The treatment is less than two minutes for both sides.

Mom's treatment was easy for her today. Although she is quite tired and weak. She thought that strawberry crepes from Village Inn sounded good for breakfast. Her treatment today and tomorrow are so early (8:15am) that she hadn't eaten yet when we went. She ate everything on her plate - I think it is the most that I have seen her eat since I have been out to visit.
We had a nice breakfast.
We came home and she rested a bit. Then we met Paul at the infamous storage unit and got a few more boxes.
Brent is going to come over for a visit this afternoon.
Then, if she feels up for it, we may go up to Pauline's for the monthly Chicago Book Club meeting.
