The Lung Biopsy

We just got home from the hospital. Mom had the lung biopsy today. The pathologist believed that they get enough sample cells/tissue to determine if this is the primary site of her cancer. The radiologist did puncture her lung - but it was so tiny that it was already healed by the time they did the x-ray. She stayed under observation for an hour and had another x-ray to ensure that everything in her lungs was fine and then she was released to go home.
We hope to have the results of the biopsy shared with us tomorrow at her doctor's appointment.
