Halloween

I'm home now in Milwaukee and Mom seems a million miles away. She just emailed me because she doesn't have anyone reading her the comments and so she decided it was time to get on to the blog herself.
I'm so grateful for the time that I got to spend in SL and look forward to going back in a few weeks.
Louise comes in this afternoon. Mom's treatment driver this morning was Pauline. Mom's appetite is definately back - she wants me to stop writing what she is eating.
Today, she said that she felt a bit quezy today and very tired.
We got to meet with Dr. Gaffney yesterday. Mom's bones, especially in her "lower region" have really started to hurt and the doctor suggested that this is from lesions in her bones. He changed her medication to begin to taper her off the steroids - as they are doing their job and you don't want to be in them for too long.
Her last day of the treatments for her brain are on the 14th. She has a follow up appointment with the lung oncologist following her last treatment.

Mom got at least 10 cards yesterday and a package! She also got another vacuum treatment, courtesy of Laura - thanks!

Nancy will be coming up tomorrow to help mom with errands and some light cleaning. Thank you!
